Directness is a kindness

French people are known for being rude, or direct. I have the tendency to agree. We don't pretend, we don't humor. We laugh at ourselves, a situation, we ridicule inefficiencies. Cutting a meeting, a feature, a report looks harsh for a minute. Keeping it costs everyone. I would rather be the one who said no once than the one who let it go to be nice.
